Hefe-weizen roughly means "wheat beer with yeast" in the country of its origin, Germany. This style gets its very literal name from the large percentage of wheat used as well as the cloudy appearance created by leaving yeast in the beer. The yeast we use gives the classic banana and clove flavors characteristic to the style.
